How to manually check for Windows 10 Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Open Windows Start menu<\/strong>.
\n2. Click or tap the Settings<\/strong> icon.
\n3. Click or tap Update & Security<\/strong>.
\n4. Click or tap the Check for updates<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

Windows 10 will automatically download and install updates immediately after checking for updates. Windows 10 will show you a status of the update and what is being downloaded and installed.<\/p>\n

To pause an update<\/em>, click or tap Advanced options<\/strong>, go to the Pause Updates<\/strong> section and slide the switch to On<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To automatically download updates<\/em>, click or tap Advanced options<\/strong>, go to the\u00a0Update Options<\/strong> section, find the option that says \u201cAutomatically download updates, even over metered data connections (charges may apply)\u201d and slide the switch to On<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
