Only forward the ports you need and remove unused ones. Also, note you should avoid using both port forwarding and UPnP. Some games, like Destiny, can experience errors if you enable both<sup>1<\/sup>.\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"htsu\">How to Set Up UPnP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is the easiest method to enable Open NAT by far. It works by analyzing incoming and outgoing internet traffic, and opening up the correct ports as necessary.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This approach is safer than, say, putting your router in a DMZ. That\u2019s because UPnP only opens the ports it needs and still uses the router\u2019s firewall. Any devices placed in that virtual Zone will be unaffected by your router\u2019s firewall. This method is usually the best option when nothing else is working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s because it disables filtering and port checks, which makes your network faster but exposes it to unsolicited internet traffic.
