A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/short-reads\/2023\/02\/02\/key-findings-about-online-dating-in-the-u-s\/\" target=\"blank_\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">survey by the Pew Research Center<\/a> shows that women are more likely to be overwhelmed by matches and messages, while men are more likely to feel insecure about a lack of either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re looking for something long-term, either platform can be a good choice. There are plenty of people in long-term relationships (and even marriages) that have come from both apps. In a survey of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theknot.com\/content\/best-dating-apps-for-marriage\" target=\"blank_\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">engaged couples surveyed in the US in 2024<\/a>, 25% credited Tinder with their union, and 20% said the same for Bumble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ubd\">Bumble vs. Tinder: User Base and Demographics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tinder is the most used dating app in the world at the time of writing. The numbers show that <a href=\"https:\/\/prioridata.com\/data\/tinder-statistics\/\" target=\"blank_\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">75.8% of users are men<\/a> and just 24.4% are women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bumble\u2019s dating pool is slightly smaller, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessofapps.com\/data\/bumble-statistics\/\" target=\"blank_\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">50 million users overall<\/a>. Despite that, the overall <a href=\"https:\/\/prioridata.com\/data\/bumble-statistics-revenue\/\" target=\"blank_\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Bumble user demographics<\/a> are quite similar. Nearly half (41.9%) of that number are between 18 and 29 years old, with 30- to 44-year-olds coming in second at nearly a quarter (24%) of users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What might surprise you, considering its girl-power ethos, is that Bumble\u2019s gender demographics also skew male, with almost the exact same ratio of men to women as Tinder. Next, you\u2019ll be guided through additional setup steps to complete your profile, including choosing your relationship preference and providing that all-important height stat. Finally, you\u2019ll need to complete three prompts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once all of that\u2019s done, you can add your photos (at least 4) and choose whether to include an \u201cOpening Move\u201d (a first message that\u2019s automatically sent to all of your new matches) on your profile. Then it\u2019s just accepting the terms and conditions, and you can start swiping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI Assistants<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To make life a little easier, both Tinder and Bumble have AI assistants to help you select the best photos for your profile.
