Earlier today, at 12:25 Eastern <a href=\"https:\/\/www.privateinternetaccess.com\/blog\/today-senators-will-vote-allow-isps-sell-internet-history-end-fcc-online-privacy-rules\/\">March 23, 2017,<\/a> the US Senate voted on S.J.Res 34, and will use the Congressional Review Act to strip away broadband\u00a0privacy protections that kept Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and telecoms from\u00a0selling your internet history and app data usage to third parties. Those in support of this stripping of privacy rights have even filed with the FCC attempting to claim that web history and app data usage information is not <a href=\"https:\/\/www.privateinternetaccess.com\/blog\/telecom-lobby-fcc-web-browsing-app-usage-history-not-sensitive-information\/\">sensitive information<\/a>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eff.org\/deeplinks\/2017\/03\/senate-puts-isp-profits-over-your-privacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EFF<\/a> put it concisely:\u00a0Senate Puts ISP Profits Over Your Privacy.\u00a0Now, the only chance to maintain the hard earned FCC broadband\u00a0privacy rules lies in defeating\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.privateinternetaccess.com\/blog\/24-senators-introduced-bill-let-telecoms-sell-private-internet-history\/\">H.J.Res 86<\/a>, the House version of this resolution, which will likely\u00a0be voted on in the House of Representatives within the next month.
