In response to\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.privateinternetaccess.com\/blog\/house-representatives-votes-215-205-away-broadband-privacy-allow-isps-sell-private-internet-history\/\">215-205<\/a> vote by the House of Representatives to pass S.J.Res.34 yesterday afternoon, Private Internet Access took out full page ads in The New York Times and The Washington Post to deliver a simple message to the country\u2019s last chance at the Broadband Privacy rules which were passed in 2016.\u00a0Since those\u00a0broadband privacy protections were voted in by the FCC in 2016,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.privateinternetaccess.com\/blog\/internet-service-provider-isp-lobbied-fcc-permission-spy\/\">ISPs<\/a> and their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.privateinternetaccess.com\/blog\/telecom-lobby-fcc-web-browsing-app-usage-history-not-sensitive-information\/\">lobbying organizations<\/a>\u00a0such as the CTIA\u00a0have been donating and posturing hard to dismantle online privacy\u00a0and bring us to this\u00a0party-line vote.<\/p>\n<p>After the vote, concerned Americans\u00a0took to the Internet to express their disapproval for the resolution passing. On Twitter and Instagram, they rallied around the hashtags #BroadbandPrivacy, #SJR34, and #KeepOurNetFree. The message now, which we must get in front of the President is simple.<\/p>\n<h2>Mr. President, you must veto S.J.Res.34<\/h2>\n<p>The text of the 3\/29\/17 ad in the newspaper is as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Dear Mr. President,<\/p>\n<p>You just got spied on. Big league.<\/p>\n<p>You know what it\u2019s like.
