IPv6 Leak Protection: Private Internet Access V.29 Changelog

We have just released the latest version, v.29, or our Private Internet Access application. Amongst minor performance enhancements comes a new Advanced Feature which is activated by default. This feature, IPv6 Leak protection, was built after our research team notified of the possibility of a new attack vector to our development team.
The new attack vector, IPv6 Leak, takes advantage of the new rollout of IPv6 that is slowly occurring amongst some Internet Service Providers. Nefarious websites are able to make a simple request to or include an image, css, or js file from an IPv6 URL.
As soon as our development team was informed, they built IPv6 Leak Protection, and now you will be safe!
