stephen a from pia supports censorship and suppression of free speech, aka, the ebikesrc thread
Stephen a sent me a pm. He said a post I made that said *** head spammers was removed. He said someone complained because they found it offensive. I will post the rest of the details later. Just be aware of pia s new censorship rules. All someone has to do to get your posts removed and censored is complain to Stephen a. Hey Stephen a...if you devoted as much time to fighting spam as he does to censoring maybe the god damn spam wouldn't be as fucking bad as it is

Hello robert_lazar.
We have had a complaint against one of your posts that it was considered Racist, and insulting.
https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/forum/discussion/comment/26582/#Comment_26582
Specifically it was the "I dont support those dot head indian spammers."
I'm
not in the game of deleting people's posts or editing peoples posts to
remove content, so just be aware that someone found it offensive, and
requested that I take care of it. Do with it as you will.
At no point did I state that I removed the post, or in any way censored that post. And as a Matter of fact, the post in question is still there, completely untouched.
I don't appreciate being mis-quoted, but I'm not going to make the accusation of it disappear. You're free to have your opinion, and speak your mind and your feelings, but please, read the full message and the full story before you overreact.
Some people seem to be under the impression that you are being racist. I am not one of them. I have only met a handful of Indian people in my lifetime. (Excluding Native Americans. I am speaking of Indians as meaning people from the nation known as India.)
And I have absolutely no idea how to refer to these people without it being either interpreted as racist, or it being ambiguous about who exactly I am even referring to.
So I do not know for certain that robert_lazar meant it in a racist sense, or if he like myself has no better terms to specify the people who live in the nation known as India. And I do not care either.
I think it is nationalist. Not racist. Others are free to think what they want.
People still harass me about my handle. They claim it is racist for me to have the Latin word for the color black in my handle. And they are damned idiots for making such a broad and unjustified presumption.
When asked what my race is, I have always answered that I am Human. That should be all that matters. People have also asked me what color my skin is. I refuse to dignify that with an answer.
It is not racist to specify a nationality to a person who lives in that nation. It is nationalist only, and even at that there is nothing wrong with recognizing that a person is attached to a particular nation.

Bob, while im only new here i hope in time you will appreciate im impartial and unbiased.
While i agree with you regards that ebikesrc thread, i have to honestly say in my long experience online its universally accepted that reposting "private" messages is a huge breach of netiquette.
Its one of those unspoken covenants thats simply not broken.
Its not a law, and of course you can do what you like
In many forums reposting private messages in public is a banning offence
Im not judging you, just pointing out the prevaling precedent
The P in PM is generally accepted to mean private, unless both parties agree to make it public that private aspect should be respected imo
I'll add ultimately its a foot bullet, i operate on the accepted assumption a PM is "private", i would be apprehensive of sending a PM to someone who thinks its fair and reasonable to share that publically.
You essentially deprive yourself thru your actions of that line of comunication.
Private is a very special concept in the medical and legal circles to name but two, to violate that principle is to undermine the whole system
Doctors may not violate patient privacy, nor can attorneys violate the same priviledge.
As i said you disadvantage yourself more than anyone , who wouldnt be apprehensive about sending what they consider private messages to someone who has a demonstrated history or reposting them in public
The original post has been restored - and the policies surrounding this have been clarified.
No post will be deleted unless it is spam.
