It is hard to gauge who owns what. We try to be as transparent as possible about it but at some point you have to trust someone.

We publish using our real names on the site. We simply formed an LLC and did what was required to become a legal business in the US. Our names are on all of the forms, and we are the only employees and operators of the service.

We have no debt or obligation to any other business entity, and are wholly owned by the 3 partners.

Really that is as much as we can do on our end to reassure people. If there was a way to do more without letting a sea of trolls into our personal lives we would certainly be open to it..

I remember not to long ago when support "pia boss Andrew lee" posted about the r vpn subreddit. He found out that they censor everything about pia. They don't allow pia to be mentioned by name or the post gets deleted and never shows up. Vikingvpn and lugh the moderator were posting lies about open ssl while attacking pia by removing mr lee's post.
