Comcast Outage Reported - No Significant VikingVPN Impact

We have learned that Comcast is having a significant outage on the west coast of the US. We peer with Comcast directly in Phoenix and Seattle. We have managed the issue and users should only see slight increases in ping until Comcast is fully restored. For now, our other carriers are picking up the Comcast slack.

Users that do not use Comcast internet services should see no change in performance..

  • That does not mean what you think it does.

Pia does not have to worry about isp's like Comcast and at&t. I've never seen Pia make a post like that.
  • Here's news for you, you donkey, PIA also uses ISPs like Comcast and AT&T too.
  • PIA RUNS the most sophisticated vpn system in the world. PIA will never say exactly how their system is run because they know their enemies like vikingvpn will attempt to steal and copy.
  • Alright UFO Bob. Let's teach you something.

    1. PIA is not that different from any other VPN in that it still requires the Internet to work.
    2. Without the Internet, no VPN will matter.
    3. For you to connect to any VPN there must be a working Internet for you to use.
    4. For you to have working Internet, ISPs like Comcast are required.
    5. If you read a bit more, you may have realized that they never said their service was effected. They merely informed customers that their ISP may be the cause of problems at the time.

If vikingvpn can claim they are premium then I can claim pia is the most sophisticated. Vikingvpn uses the same internet and data centers as every other vpn so why does that idiot get to claim he is premium? the only thing premium about Viking is the price.lol

pia themselves have stated that they will not disclose how the run their system due to fear of enemies attempting to copy their methods.
  • I have attempted to get mr zimmer to explain what exactly makes his service premium. I have used multiple phony email addresses and multiple phony aliases to email vikingvpn directly. when mr zimmer replies he never will explain what is premium about his service and he wont explain what that $120 per year gets customers.

Perhaps a change of tactics is in order? Perhaps rather than being an asshole to an asshole, you should simply ask as if you were a potential fool customer.

An equally good option is to disregard that service entirely. In fact, that is the only option for you with long term potential.
  • Ow come on Irryie. Tell us what he really said. :D
