OpenVPN over SSL?

With ISPs beginning the throttle OpenVPN traffic around the globe, are PIA planning on introducing an OpenVPN over SSL service to counteract these throttling tactics?

A friend in Canada was getting badly throttled and his move to AirVPN, which provides this service, resulted in his VPN speeds increasing markedly.

  • Anyone from PIA going to answer this?
  • Try changing your protocol and ports so OpenVPN traffic appears to be SSL, e.g. TCP port 80, port 443.
  • I switched to using tcp, it means a slower connection time, but seems to bypass the obvious throttling of OpenVPN by my ISP.
