question for irryie about the pia tray icon on my windows 7 machine

I leave my windows 7 machine turned on basically 24-7 and PIA stays connected. However, sometimes for whatever reason the tray icon disappears. This leads me to task manager to check to see if PIA is still running and in the processes it is still running. I check my ip address and the ip address is still the pia address. What causes the tray icon to just disappear??

I happen to agree. The heat difference is what causes the CPU, RAM, and all other parts to eventually break. Just disable all sleep/hibernation nonsense entirely and leave it running forever.

I usually don't turn off my windows 7 machine unless the cpu temperature gets to high. The fan of that machine is bad and doesn't cool properly.

Get a bigger fan. I open my case and have a floor fan blow into the case to blow away the heat. It works well.
