Multiple NICs
I typically have Internet connection issues when attempting to access my LAN while using the VPN. If I attempt to move/copy files from my file server, then I will temporarily lose Internet connectivity. I thought that, perhaps, if I had a second NIC installed in the server and the client, along with a second switch, then this issue would not occur. However, I don't see an option in the PIA manager that delegates control to a specific NIC. I haven't tried this yet.
My questions are: Is this even an IP/subnet issue? Would my solution of additional LAN infrastructure actually work? And is there even a way to assign the TAP driver to a particular NIC?

I shouldn't say I lose connectivity--I don't know if I can access the Internet at large. What happens, specifically, is I will be downloading a torrent and saving it to another machine on the LAN. Sometimes, while accessing this other machine with Windows Explorer, the torrent transfer will momentarily stop. Renaming files/directories, copying files, sometimes even changing directories will cause torrent transfer speeds to drop to 0.
I'm using the "bind to local IP" feature in Vuze, so perhaps that has something to do with it.
