New and old Download links.

Hey Everyone !

I hope everyone is doing well and having a great start to their week!

There is a new announcement that I'd like to bring to everyones attention, as we have had a lot of outreach for the following, I hope this pleases everyone and that it helps quench some of the feedback on this issue.

So without further adieu here it is a link on our website to legacy versions of the PIA client software, as well the version numbers are now included in each download link:

*Please be advised that the older versions of the software still contain the port fail vulnerability and as such if you choose to use any version below V.55 you are doing so at your own risk and PIA is not to be held accountable for any issues you may encounter.  For optimal security and protection please use the most recent version of our app whenever available.

Cheers,
Jason M

  • I have submitted a ticket for this but no one has responded in over a week.  I received an error when PIA started up, and all efforts to uninstall, re-install latest and older versions, re-booting the computer, etc. have all resulted in the same error.
"LoadLibrary failed with error 87: The parameter is incorrect."
Once again, I am left with no VPN and waiting in vain for a solution.  I can't be the only person this has happened to.  If anyone else has this issue, please respond.

  • Doing a google shows that error to be associated with a video driver/card. The solution was for the user to either rollback or reinstall the driver. You might even be able to uninstall the video adapter and then reinstall.
  • Hello p8848124.

I just replied to a ticket with this same question, I assume it is yours.  I replied to it the day you first sent it to us, but you must not have gotten the reply.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

There are some known issues with certain graphic cards that can result in behavior like this.  Before we get started, please follow the steps on this guide to ensure there are no PIA files left on your device - https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/helpdesk/guides/windows/windows/windows-uninstalling-the-pia-app-manually

Now please ensure your system and graphic drivers are up to date.  This link outlines how to check for an update in Windows 10: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027667/windows-10-update

This link outlines how to check for updates with your drivers.  You will want to check your graphics drivers: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028443/windows-10-update-drivers

If you have third party graphic card software, check for an update there too.

Now please try to install again.
