Which is the best pen test tool available?

Any infosec experts here? I would like to know which tool you are using for penetration testing. I had used Exploit pack for network testing. Last month I met a senior security consultant from NCI in Mississauga. He advised me to use Metasploit instead of Exploit pack. I don’t have much knowledge about Metasploit. Please let me know what you guys are using for Pen testing. Thanks
