Viewing local shared files while connected to VPN
I'm hoping that someone will be able to help with this issue as I've exceeded my knowledge as well as the support offered by PIA Tier2. I have 5 systems using the PIA VPN, a Windows 10 machine and 4 Android machines. When connected using the PIA software on the Windows 10 machine, I can access files being shared on my NAS. Using my Samsung Note 8 and as well as an Android TV Box and connecting using the PIA app, I'm also able to access those files. Both are running Android 4.2.2. With the TV Box, I had to run the Tun.ko app to install the Tun module. However, using another Android TV box, running Android 5.1.1 as well as my Galaxy S5 running 4.4.4 (all using the PIA app with the same setup as the Note 8), I can't access the NAS. I've tried using OpenVPN as well as the native VPN in Settings. No success with the S5 and the other TV Box.
Has anyone had success that they could share or other options to try? I saw something about routing tables, but that's a bit beyond my understanding, if someone can explain what to look for and what to change, that would be great. Happy to share additional information if it's needed as well. Thanks in advance!
