Can we get a sneak-peek into the web-extension PIA is developing?

@mods ;

Pretty please? Will it unblock Netflix? Maybe give us an alpha version to test :)

  • @Toriko, can you elaborate please? I'm not at all familiar with what you're referring to.
  • I read through the blog posts here, and saw nothing that hinted at a web extension. So I am a bit puzzled by this as well.
  • As said, PIA is developing a web extension for Chrome, I think Firefox should be included too.

    Also, they are adding 500 new servers soon and servers in Finland and Spain as well

    I am not quoting the source for suspense purposes
  • Ah, now I've got you. You mean a "browser extension."

    Unfortunately if it's only for Chrome that, in my view, is a terrible choice for those of us who are moderately paranoid about security. Chrome is Google spyware, regardless of how you configure it. I'll certainly check it out when PIA releases it to determine its functionality, but I won't use it daily since I refuse to use Chrome.

    If it's a good browser extension/plug-in hopefully PIA will also release it for Firefox.

    Security wise, Chrome is much more robust and resilient to browser exploits than Firefox due to their sandbox model. Privacy wise, obviously FF is better.
