Resuming A Torrent Started Before PIA & Other Precautions

I was downloading torrents when my service was suspended by my ISP.
My service was reinstated when I agreed not to be a 'bold boy' anymore.

I then signed up to the PIA vpn service.
I've done all sorts of IP torrent checks, and I'm good to go with new stuff.

Is there any danger in resuming old unfinished torrents?
I had these enabled when I started these torrents.

  • Would it be too much bother to remove your old torrents and start them anew to be sure?

I honestly do not know the answer, and since you do not tell us the OS, nor the torrent client, much less what the content of the torrents and who might be interested in crucifying you for downloading it, no-one has the answer to your question as asked.

What I can tell you for certain is that if you use the VPN and do not have any of these turned on from the start, the odds of problems are majorly lower.

    Thanks for the reply

    I'm using uTorrent 3.45 with Windows 10
The complaint came from Paramount Pictures through a legal firm.

I think I will start them again from scratch .... just to be sure!
