It wasn't a slam dunk but I didn't have any of the problems I see here. It works fine on both the PC and Droid. My one issue is battery drain. Overnight, 8 hours or so, running the PIA app only I lost 37%. With out it running I would lose 2 or 3% This is perhaps since it doesn't pause when the screen is off? Maybe that can be added in a future release. I'm still satisfied with the product overall.
Thanks, Geno
I have the same Problem (Note 4, Custom Rom). But, to be honest, i am not satisfied. I want a 24/7 VPN protection on my Smartphone and thats not possible with that massive drain.
Guys, please! This is a big company and and the android app is important. I hope you dont shit on the devolpment of this app as you did on the dev on the Linux app
Just wanted to comment that I'm using the android app for the first time (always only used it on my pc) And it's amazing! I got a new android kodi box and thanks to this app I can get us Netflix again (lost it after the dns changer crack downs) as well as US only streaming services. Your app has made my tv box way better to use.
Thought I'd give this app another try, currently using the OpenVPN app instead but interested to see how MACE goes. First problem I'm noticing is it doesn't handle changing networks well, e.g. if I disconnect from WiFi and go to mobile data, I can't use internet until I go into PIA, disconnect and reconnect. OpenVPN works around this by doing an automatic reconnect whenever the network state changes. Any chance of something like this happening with this app? Otherwise I think I have to stick with OpenVPN.
Have some questions / issues with the latest version running on an Android tv box (h96pro +)
I have installed the lasted apk and can log and connect fine.
However, if i change the advanced setting and enable connect on boot and restart the device i find that pia auto connects however after the reboot it takes me straight to the PIA screen with a pop up login failed, even though i have the padlock on the top right of my screen and can confirm it is connected when checking my IP with an alternate app.
If i go back to the pia app and press login manually it connects and i can see the country and green connected bar.
If i enable the one click connect. i have the same issue as above.
What i have been doing is going to Android Settings / Connections / More / VPN. Within that section PIA has auto added the vpn setup. I click the cog wheel and press always on.
I can now go back to the pia app and leave one click connect but remove connect on boot. Now when i restart my device, it loads to the default android launcher page and a second later pia vpn connects and i can see the padlock automatically without the pia app loading up. If i check my IP i can see it has changed when checking with an alternate app.
Now when i go back to the pia app, it shows as connected but no IP details listed in the bottom. but browsing still works and ip still reported as pia vpn.
The issue im having with this method is that if i force close pia vpn and try to navigate the internet everything is still going through even though i had pia kill switch active. I thought that if i had that active it would kill the link if the service fails.
On my PC if i kill the program on task manager, my IP does not revert without me running repaired commands manually on cmd.
you can still search numerous Kodi forums or sites and you'll see it mentioned but with so much competition in the space now it's more important then ever to ask if PIA can stack up to the competition for Kodi streaming.see: ShowBoxMobdroVidmate
Depending on which Android device you are using you can most likely follow the guide above for the Fire TV or simply just use the Google Play Store to download and install PIA on your device. If neither of those guides work you will need to learn how to side load APK's onto your device.

Is this expected or are these odd issues?
My page shows this:

Why am I not connected?
Thanks.
