Hi Insight, Like I says in the title I want to know how to use SoulseekQt with PIA. For the moment I try and it seems Soulseek use my fake ip: good When I want to download it's working fine: good BUT it seems I cannot upload. When I test the ports it say they are closed. Thanks.

With the PIA App, you can go to advanced settings and use port forwardin, to open the soulseek ports, with this configuration you will be able to share and upload your files

Thanks for the feedback. I chose to use UPNP, cause I don't understand how to configure port forwarding on my router. Wich one is safer? I read some people prefer to disable UPNP in windows due to security isuues.

Safer its UPNP disable, but, if you have a good windows firewall, not windows integrated firewall, because windows firewall integrated allow all outgoing connections, anyway your home router have an firewall too, so if you are in home i think dont need to be worry, if youre in an office or connected to a big network lan, can be more unsafe, im using UPNP in my pc, with a 3rd party firewall for windows, you have tinywall for free, zone alarm for free, or private firewall for free, all of them is good

Hi Insight. Thanks for the tip, for the moment all works fine with UPNP so I let it. I use the windows integrated firewall but effectively my home router had one. Thanks again for the help. See ya.
