TP-LINK Router wont connect via PPTP / L2TP

I am trying to setup PPTP/L2TP connection on my TP-Link router to the PIA server 104.238.169.101 (UK Server)

I have used the username and password from the client control panel however it just stays stuck at "connecting" forever.

I am Not using Russia Server, the IP is a UK server. The screenshot is a default dropdown value in my router.

I see. Did you generate a separate username and password via the Client Support page? L2TP/PPTP/Socks5 requires different credentials than the normal VPN. So if you have not, that is the problem.

Hi guys
I have the same problem with wr485. I have configured the vpn server myself. I did anything with the server and nothing changed. I am really disappointed and going to buy a real router instead tp-link....

@behzadkh Make sure you are using the "PPTP/L2TP/SOCK Username and password" from the your account page. Pick a location from https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/network/

I just tested L2TP on my tp-link c5400 and it worked fine.
