I was seen somehow

Today I was detected dl a torrent while on the VPN, I had the Kill Switch on, DNS and IPv6 leak protection on as well. Are there any additional steps I can take or is true anonymity a myth?

  • Do you have whatsmytorrentIP set up in your torrent client? it's a magnet link that shows what IP people tracking torrents see...the way you're set up it should've been the VPN IP...nobody else is having issues so what happened to you is anyone's guess...my advice, set up the proxy in your torrent client and use it along with the VPN..that way if the VPN fails for some reason the proxy will at least mask your IP
  • wrswldo,try to use VM.

  • Hi wrswldo,

If your DNS protection is not working, we would suggest manually assigning your DNS servers.

You can find Operating System relevant steps for assigning your DNS servers at the following link: https://helpdesk.privateinternetaccess.com/hc/en-us/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&query=Change+DNS&commit=Search

    Thanks,
