MLB.tv on Android

in Android VPN Setup
I want to be able to watch my local team on MLB.tv but I keep hitting the blackout restrictions. If I disable all location services, the MLB app tells me to turn them on. If I have them turned on, the app knows where I am. I was able to watch on my computer by connecting to Toronto, but that isn't helping on my tab.

I have a Galaxy Tab S2 with Android 6.0.1

    It can be 'odd' sometimes (less bandwith than i'd like), but i rarely have issues. I usually use the chicago servers.
    This doesn't tell me how you're able to work around the blackout restrictions.

    Surely if you connect through the VPN, the "location service" gives that and not your real location. Of course, GPS will always give your real location so don't turn that on.
