Phantom NW.JS windows upon waking from sleep
Every week or two, I will awaken my newish iMac in the morning and a blank "nw.js" window will be there on the desktop. Seemed virusy at first, but I notice that the window is tied to the Private Internet Access app (if I right-click the green PIA icon in my dock, the nw.js window is listed there... and if I bring the PIA app into focus, the app name is listed as "NWJS Default").
This seems not to be causing any harm, but it also seems like a bug and a pretty scary thing if you don't know what's going on.
Using version 65.0.0 and MacOS Sierra, but this has occurred on earlier version of both PIA and OS X as well.

diggairbo,
The issue that you're experiencing is caused by the system launching the application incorrectly. This is something that will be resolved in v66 of our software. What we recommend is to launch the application manually via the terminal. To do so:
1) Launch the Terminal.
2) Type the following in the terminal, and then press enter:
open "/Applications/Private Internet Access.app"After this, the app should load, and remain running in your Menu bar at the top.
