Detailed, updated tutorial to configure Vuze to work with PIA and Windows 7?

Any links appreciated!

  • It's pretty simple with Vuze, let me walk you through it:

First install the PIA client. Make sure that you select port forwarding. Be sure that you use one of these access points:
      • CA Toronto
      • Ca Montreal
      • Netherlands
      • Sweden
      • Switzerland
      • France
      • Germany
      • Romania
      • Israel
Reboot the computer, start the client, and connect to one of the list access points.  After a few seconds, hold your mouse pointer over the PIA client in the notification area.  It will show the external IP address and the open port number.  It's very important that a port number shows!  You need to fix this before proceeding.

Install Vuze, and do your initial configuration.  Go to here and install the VPN helper.

Configure the VPN helper by selecting PIA and using your PIA login info. Click check now, and make sure it verfies your IP and port number.

That's all there is to it.  The VPN helper works very well, it will only allow torrents when the VPN connection is up

Thanks a lot for the information; I got  Vuze working but not exactly how I wanted it to so I'm trying uTorrent.   The information here worked perfectly except  you need an updated link to the VPN helper.
