Can't get qBittorrent Settings to Work

edited December 2016 in P2P Support
I followed the guide to setup qBittorrent (https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/forum/discussion/4091/qbittorrent-setup-tips) for use with my VPN but nothing seems to be working.

I used the "ipconfig /all" command in Command Prompt and found that Local Area Connection 2 was the one with the IP V4 Address and TAP-Windows Adapter V9 results.

In the guides I have found relating to qBittorrent everyone says that you select the network interface that displays "TAP-Win32 Adapter V9" but I only have results displaying "TAP-Windows Adapter V9" in Command Prompt.

I have also enabled port forwarding in the PIA settings menu and have enetered in the port number displayed by the PIA client into qBittorrent as well.

Any help regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Edit - I forgot to mention that I also used the commands to kill of all fake interfaces for IPv6 using the instrecitions mentioned in the previous guide.

  • As long as there are no other TAP instances showing in ifconfig, then Local Area Connection 2/TAP-Windows Adapter V9 is the one you want to put into qBt.

I am having similar issues with qBittorrent - it does not work under my current settings.  I too followed the setup guide tired above to my best understanding (this is the first time I ever have used a torrent).  Below are some screenshots of the relevant settings.  Any help is greatly appreciated, and many thanks in advance for guidance.

Edit - I am so new I do not even know how to insert a screenshot.  I'll work on that and post them later.  Thanks again.
