PIA forum needs a proper search function

Current search function works very poorly. Results seem to be ranked more by date than relevance. Example, try searching for this useful thread by using the title ("Have speed issues? Start here"), it doesn't even come up in the first 10 pages of results. 10!

Many of your customers are already ambivalent on the tech support experience, why make it harder than necessary for us to find info and help ourselves? You might have been able to get away with it when there was still live chat, but now practically every problem is guaranteed to take a minimum of several hours to fix, either email back and forth with tech support or hoping someone replies to your post.

  • Frankly, I think the entire forum could do with an overhaul but this would be a start. Another example, I see people replying in threads saying "We are doing such and such," but there's absolutely nothing that denotes them as a PIA employee. I could pose as tech support in here and no one would be the wiser.
