Supporting Legacy Operating Systems
As of January 1st, 2017, Private Internet Access will no longer offer technical support for Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Mac OS 10.4 through 10.7.
This decision has been made due to potential security issues that could be present in these unmaintained operating systems which will no longer be addressed by the respective manufacturer.
Although Windows 7 and Mac OS 10.9 will continue to be supported, Private Internet Access plans to cease support for any operating system at the end of support provided by the manufacturer.
Private Internet Access will continue to provide the most secure and private environment possible for our users. We are unable to guarantee that subsequent releases will work with unsupported operating systems. Customers may benefit from dramatically enhanced security, privacy and updates by migrating to newer operating systems.
