Xbox One VPN DD-WRT Linksys AC1900

I have PIA setup on my Linksys AC1900 using dd-wrt.  It is giving me problems with the xbox one and xbox live.  My son is unable to chat and host any sessions.  In the NAT type of xbox setup it doesn't show anything and asks for a toredo ip address.  Are there special setup parameters to allow xbox one to connect properly?  Is there a setup option that allows the xbox one to ignore the VPN?

There are a few options for you:

1. Turn on UPnP in your DD-WRT settings under the NAT/QoS > UPnP section, Apply and Reboot your router. 

2. In some cases you may need to create manual port forwards for full access to all Xbox Live services. Ports needed to be opened can be found here:

3. It is possible to setup split VPN tunneling in DD-WRT as well. Feel free to use the FlashRouter guide for creating a VPN Blacklist on your router, allowing you to decide which devices on your network go through PIA VPN, and which devices you want to direct through your local ISP:

Note that the guide is for a router with an IP address of 192.168.11.1. If your router is at 192.168.1.1 then you should change all 192.168.11.xxx to 192.168.1.xxx.
