Corporate network blocking PIA Android App Login

Hi Guys,

So I have noticed that my Corporate network have recently block the PIA domain and sub-domains so I cannot even reach the site through the network (non-vpn).

Now what is very interesting is that the corporate network blocks all UDP traffic and now the app fails to allow me to sign. If however I go outside, connect PIA over 3G/4G and then go back onto the Corporate Wi-Fi PIA connects and routes the traffic through the TCP protocol? Any idea how I can get around the actual blocking of the PIA Android app logging in part?

I found that after trying UDP and TCP with every port combination and it still fails to connect, that the OpenVPN app works without having to connect to 3G/4G first.  I keep both apps on my phone and laptop, with all my operating systems (Android, Windows and Linux), so that I can always connect no matter what wifi router I am connecting through.
  • My company has banned all the vpn services in this regard. Can't access any vpn for diverting traffic protocol now.. Is there any solution to it?
  • My corporate network as standard blocks any traffic that isn't using port 80 or 443 from leaving the company. If VPN is using either of these ports (which I doubt) then the companies content filter kicks in and would block any web traffic classified as VPN services. I don't think you can get around this.
  • At work the site is blocked surely via keywords.

With my laptop I am able to connect to the VPN over port 443 (this works on most any network that has VPN blocked for me including public networks).

With my Android device, I am unable to get past the login screen. I believe it's hitting the web domain which is running a keyword check against it and blocking the login attempt (I saw for a second that page tried to load and was blocked via a mini web browser in the app it seemed). I'm not sure if the MacOS app uses a direct connection rather than through a domain? But there seems to be some difference in the apps that allows one to work and the other not to :\
