About SIP Trunking

Recently we started using a VoIP phone facility in our company. I was trying to get more information about this service. I found some details about SIP Trunking here http://www.thinktel.ca/services/sip-trunking/the-thinktel-difference/capacity-on-demand/#2. They have mentioned that reducing unused channels will help to reduce the cost. That procedure is called as channel bursting. Does anybody of you know about this?
