PIA and VOIP.ms

Has anyone successfully configured a SIP client that works with VOIP.ms over PIA? I'm trying to set one up on either Ubuntu or Android (both running PIA using OpenVPN) and am running into some issues. Alternatively, if anyone has gotten some other VOIP service to work over VPN using a sip client on the aforementioned devices that setup would be appreciated as well.

    Hello,  I just signed up for PIA and had the exact same issue.  I contacted support and they said that they do not support using the VOIP services with the VPN.  However, I did find a workaround.  I had an old router that i was not using, so I configured the Duel Router Setup (e.g. https://www.flashrouters.com/learn/vpn-setup-options/dual-router-setup)

    1. Connect your internet modem to the WAN port of router 1
    2. Connect any LAN port of router 1 to the WAN port of router 2.  
    3. Plug your VOIP adapter into router 1.  
    4. Enter VPN credentials on router 2

    router 1 is not protected by VPN
    router 2 is protected by VPN

    You can turn off the wifi on modem 1 if you want, but I left it on in case I want to connect some devices without going through VPN
