Setting up VPN on Synology DS215+ NAS
Hi guys,
Trying to set up an open VPN on my Synology NAS so I can use it for torrenting. On my Synology I am going into the Control Panel > Network > Network Interface and creating a new OpenVPN using .opvn file. I am importing the certificates from the PIA site, putting in my username and password but when I try get it to connect it just keeps saying "Connection Failed. Please check your network settings.". Is there any other settings I need to look for?

I've tried a few times to get my Download Station protected by a VPN and can't seem to crack it! I can get it to say "connected" but when I test it using ipleak.net, while my laptop shows up as being protected, the torrent check tool doesn't work and still shows my real location!?!?!?
Can anyone walk me through the correct steps to get it working? (using DSM 6.1.1 on a Synology DS213)
Thanks....

I followed this and it works... but note the following: This approach masks the IP of the entire device - so if you are currently accessing your NAS remotely via your home IP and NAS port (like 1.2.3.4:50000), then adding this VPN profile will mean that approach will no longer work (because the IP/Port combo is being masked by the VPN).
I havent figured out a way around that yet... but Im working on finding a solution.
