Why are all PIA application we are using comes with trojan and malware? Check your exe at virustotal

I am sick and tired of using infected exe to keep my online activity private. That's oxymoreon.  I found out about StrongVPN they are pricey but their windows client has NO VIRUS unlike PIA.

Why are you putting malware in the Windows and Linux client? Were you told by NSA to do this? Are you collecting user data and whole sale giving away to third party for big bucks? I don't trust you anymore, you must be compromised in some way if you keep putting out a client lased with malware and virus.

I want a straight answer from YOU PIA.

they aren't putting malware in, its a false positive. Issue has already been asked about and was answered by PIA > https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/forum/discussion/23782/pia-v69-virus-total-finds-trojan#latest

You use virus total? LOL. Virus Total is known for being complete crap. :D I can't understand how you can take the results from that website seriously. My advice is to install a real virus security suite (such as Bitdefender Internet Security) instead. Many of them have web protection built in so you never have to use Virus Terrible....er...Total ever again.
  • You need to use a good anti-virus like Kaspersky for example and you won't have false positives.
  • ceftriaxone is suffering from a common human condition:

"A persons strength of opinion is inversely proportional to his knowledge"

i.e. Make false assumptions with incomplete investigation, then go in all guns blazing.

    .... Para Dox

  • I'm sorry ceftriaxone, but you're a moron. Have you ever heard of the concept of a "false positive"? Why would PIA purposely infect their paying customers? I know this might be hard for you, but please try and *think* before you make a post.
  • [Before Installation]
Searching for Linux.Xor.DDoS ... nothing found
Searching for Linux.Proxy.1.0 ... nothing found
Searching for suspect PHP files... nothing found

    [After Installation]
Searching for Linux.Xor.DDoS ... INFECTED: Possible Malicious Linux.Xor.DDoS installed
    /tmp/pia_upscript.sh
    /tmp/pia_openvpn_client
    /tmp/pia_route

You guys really need to fix that, when I was using the socks 5 proxy it saved a malicious file in my ~/.cache/mozilla/firefox/6ble7ds3.default/cache2/entries/      directory with the file name 099C83595A0E73187C5052B1DC5BED19CEB4A0E9            you can quickly google search that file name and see what it comes up as. Your Socks5 proxy or proxies may have been compromised.

PS:  "OHH WE DON'T KEEP LOGS"    half your server ips have port 22 open
the feds probably keep your logs for you at this point.

flag my post all you want, its not going to close those ports, paying customers shouldn't have to deal with stupid shit like this, I mean really you leave TCP&UDP port 22(SSH) open on a VPN connection? Buzzed_Lightyear said:
