Private Internet Access is safe from the Intel AMT remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability revealed last week on May 1st. As soon as we heard about the Intel vulnerability, Private Internet Access verified that none of our servers had the Active Management Technology (AMT) web server enabled. Additionally, we verified that none of our servers were listening on any of the AMT ports known to be subjected to the authentication bypass vulnerability described on CVE-2017-5689. We have a policy of disabling all remote provisioning interfaces by default before any server is put online. We will continue to work with our data centers to ensure that the firmware on all of our servers are updated for maximum security."

We’re always committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your security on the internet.
