French TV
This may not get any responses, because I know people generally come to forums when they are having problems, but I was wondering if anyone is able to connect to French TV through the PIA VPN servers? I've been able connecting for 18 months without a problem, but am shutout for ~ three weeks now. Basically since the infrastructure changes at PIA. Wondering if it's general, or limited to a certain platform, region, etc. Also I'm wondering if it's a question of PIA making changes that need to propogate to other servers (i.e. it's just a question of time/patience, or if the engineers have botched things). I use Mac/Linux/Windows/Android/iOS at home and connect through PIA apps, OpenVPN, and PPTP. Like I said, everything was smooth for 18 months; now nothing works. Trying to get an idea of where this stands before jumping ship. Gracias.

Several of the find IP address websites show that IP as being in France, while some show as being in the US. It is possible that the website you try to visit is detecting that address as being in the US.
Using OpenVPN as a stand alone application without the aid of the PIA manager, you can change the remote server address of france.privateinternetaccess.com to a static IP address with a port of 1198. Since the IP range of 108.61.68.0 - 108.61.252.255 you might be able to find an IP that is associated with France. This is a trial and error process and with that many IPs it will take some time and lots of patience.
Did someone tried the tip of Omnibus_IV ?... I mean, did anyone be patient enough? :-)
