OpenWRT -> pia VPN -> DYNDNS and mobile network

Hi everybody,

following situation:

I have a GL-AR150 router with OpenWRT onboard.
My network comes over a LTE stick and goes over the router to a camera with LAN.
The provider doesn´t allow port forwarding and now i will bypass this with pia VPN.
Another problem i need to solve is, i have to install a dyndns.
The schematic i thougt, would be:
DYNDNS goes to the VPN IP -> VPN has open port -> i go over dyndns -> router  goes to WAN IP -> and i can configure the camera

How can i do this?

Best regards ;-)

  • Have you tried asking over the GL Forum? You're likely to get much better advice there.
  • no, i hoped somebody can help here?
  • Can't help with the DynDNS problem, sorry.  Why no port forwarding, is it that the carrier are using a NAT and sharing IP's?

Wouldn't a simpler solution be to set up a VPN server on your router, and connect to that?
  • I´m a rookie. I don´t know how to solve this. The easiest way will be the best. I take any solution i can get.
What the carrier use or do... don´t know, but all ports are closed!

Head over to GL and ask there or search the forum for "mesh".
I think the GL has dyndns built in, no?
