AT&T UVerse w/ Pace Model 5682AC Rotuer

I recently moved to AT&T UVerse (giga fiber) and use the provided Pace 5682AC router/modem.  I find that when I turn on the PIA VPN, my speed on my wired PC drops by 10X or more.  I've tried a lot of things with PIA support and I think we just got to the point where it must be something in the router/modem that they can't support.  Anyone have similar issue?  Any solutions?

    I am having the same issue. I have the Internet 75 with AT&T. Hardwired I get 60 mbps min but with the VPN connected it drops to 20 mbps max.

    I think the VPN servers can't reach the 60 mbps.
