VUZE VPN Helper

I noticed the VUZE VPN Helper Plugin no longer works,  Reading the Vuze forum it seems the solution is providing the Vuze configuration file your PIA username & password.  Is this a safe practice?  Just concerned with PIA credentials being hijacked.

    Is my question that dumb no one will answer or in the wrong location?  Is there any risk of my PIA u/p being compromised by entering it into the VUZE VPN Helper Plugin

    I just enter the port PIA client gives manually, just gotta check on it if pia disconnects.

    That is what I have been doing since I do not trust the plugin
