Enable PIA in incognito mode?

Enable PIA in incognito mode?
Is there a way to enable pia in incognito mode? Or should I be doing that?
Should I be leaving the normal browser open with pia on.
I only have the browser extension, i havn't been able to get Jessie/OpenVPN or pia connected thru the network manager across a "open" non-encrypted wireless gateway however the browser extension works across open displaying a different ip tuned on or off...On this machine using tails and tor, this machine connects and seems secure...
Using encryption over an open gateway has issues yes. The gateway is not totally open. It's a telco, there is a password with account required an' im preddy sure they watch out for people messing around in thier internal systems...

Once you sign up for the service you will have full access to the Private Internet Access Network. You can install the official Private Internet Access application on your desktop or mobile device (which is the recommended method of connection) the official applications use OpenVPN (except IOS which uses IPSec) try to avoid L2TP and PPTP wherever possible. L2TP and PPTP are insecure protocols and are not recommended unless you live and in an area which blocks VPN connections based on OpenVPN.
You can download the official applications here: https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/client-support/

You can use the VPN for anything, all of your activities will be encrypted before they leave your computer or mobile device (as long as the VPN software is enabled)
The software works with any type of browser whether you are using incognito mode or not. Your connection to the Internet will be secure when you are using Private Internet Access

I hope this answers all of your questions.
