I have a Fritz box 3490, does anybody know how I can set PIA VPN up on this router? Is it possible?

    AFAIK it is not possible on a Fritz.
    They provide for a build-in VPN server, what you want is a VPN client.
    If you want a VPN client at router-level you would need to attach a router with build-in VPN client software to your Fritz.
    I have done so myself using an ASUS RT-AC68U.
