PIA setup on Asus rt-ac68u running tomato firmware

Hi, Ive installed the latest tomato firmware on my rt-ac68u router. Ive followed the steps on the website exactly to set up a vpn. It says the client is connected but my IP does not change. Ive used the vpn logging in using the windows app and it works fine, but I want to run it on my router to provide access to to the vpn for all my devices. Can anyone offer suggestions?  EDIT: Ive figured out the problem.
