mx linux - pia v74 or v75 wont run after install

new install of 32bit mxlinux on eeepc - tried installing pia v75 then v74 ( have installed many times successfully on other pc's) - install runs in  terminal to "installation complete" but app doesnt run to ask for log-in details.

suggestions please.

just thought - is this due to v74/v75 app being for 64bit systems?

what cpu architecture is an eeepc? and is mxlinux made of Debian bits?

x86-64 capable - hmm.. which "Atom" do you have there? no check if it's a N2xx or Z5xx cpu

its an Intel (Atom) N270 1.6ghz cpu

right.  no x86-64 code will run.

use ldd or file to check the 32/64 'bitness' of a library or program binary

Going on a cruise tomorrows so I'll give up on the EEEPC and just take my iPad Air 2 - PIA installed- and hope that the Free internet onboard will allow the use of PIA VPN - doubt it though as on last cruise - without PIA - nearly everything ( including these forums - was blocked, except for news and social media sites.
