Audio from videos distorts when using a US server.

I have been trying to watch videos online and have found that sometimes the audio is distorted, implying the website knows I am using a VPN Has anyone run into this before? I was just browsing on Daily motion and tried watching this video: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x694jui

For some reason around 10 seconds into watching, the audio gets distorted.

Is this a common problem from PIA servers? Do websites know they are VPN providers?

Is it because I am using OpenVPN to connect instead of the PIA Manager?

Any help with this would be appreciated.

  • @Dergon I've never heard of any websites doing that. What's more likely is that the quality of the stream updated to a lower one to keep the stream going even after it began slowing down for whatever reason. As the connection to the site involves your PC and your ISP not just PIA, I couldn't tell you who'd be to blame for that. If it persists, I urge you to file a support ticket and provide logs.
