Ubuntu Mate 17.10 - Can't access home network with PIA on & can't access internet with PIA off.

Hi,

I have been running into some problems with PIA v75 and Ubuntu Mate.

I can no longer run PIA and access my NAS on my internal network but when I turn it off and restart network-manager.service I can access my internal network.

However whenever I do that I can no longer access the internet. It just won't let me. With PIA on I can.

With Ubuntu Mate 17.04 I had no problems whatsoever. Anyone have any clues to what's happening?

This doesn't help me with the fact that it blocks my internet when it's switched off. Besides This wasn't the case when I used v75 on 17.04.

Actually it gets weirder, I've figured out that I can actually reach parts of my network. When I go through my browser and when I append .local in the file explorer Caja.
  • symptoms indicate not a routing problem but a DNS problem. DNS is configured with the content of /etc/resolv.conf
