Anonymizing traffic through DD-WRT router plus ad-block DNS
I'm getting a DD-WRT router so I can run PIA through it, but also want to stop ads and trackers to my whole house as well. To my knowledge, the MACE option isn't offered through the router, but I'd like to at least stop the ads by changing my DNS addresses to Alternate-DNS (Alternate DNS is great at stopping ads but doesn't appear to stop trackers, and Adguard protects against trackers but isn't that great at dealing with ads).
Seeing as Alternate DNS has made it abundantly clear that it intends to collect all my browsing history, does having open vpn configured on my router anonymize me from Alternate DNS?
Second question: I'm an end-user so I have very limited knowledge, but is it possible to add MACE to my DNS server address, and what would that configuration look like in the static DNS fields (if that's where it would go in the first place)?
So just to be crystal clear, what I want from the router level is:
1) Alternate DNS for maximum ad blocking
2) MACE for blocking trackers
3) PIA for anonymizing traffic, including from Alternate DNS

Please note that the DD-WRT GUI will mangle that command and won't read it back properly although it does save it properly, so you'll have to correct it everytime you update the VPN settings. You will also need to be using PIA's DNS for this work work, as MACE is a DNS blocker.
