Tranmission causes connection to stop/drop

I use OpenVPN to connect to PIA on my Linux computer. Transmission causes the PIA connection to drop or stop altogether within one minute of use. I have tried to solve this by adjusting the ports, but it has not worked.

    Be sure you have uTP disabled in Transmission (Preferences > Network > Enable Micro Transport Protocol). uTP doesn't play well with vpns.

    You may also want to add the "mssfix 1350" option to your OpenVPN profile, as torrents tend to have you receive packets that can't fit in the tunnel and consequently causes the whole thing to get out of sync and fail.

    This didn't seem to make any difference.
