PIA and Nvidia shield

I have had PIA for several years now and am quite happy with the product and support. Recently I was told that I would be getting an Nvidia Shield for Christmas. Starting research and there seem to be a question of How or even If it will work on Shield. Comments on the Net all over the map as per usual. Can anyone comment or point me in the right direction as to how to install on Shield successfully?

    Unfortunately PIA doesn't support the nvidia shield at the moment. There are other ways however to get this device online if you are interested: one option is to set it up network-wide on your router if it supports it, the other is to configure any of your computers as a router and direct the Shield to it instead.

    I personally lean on the second option although a bit less practical. Router setups are great but they have the tendency of being relatively slow as most routers have limited processing power. Using a computer does have the disadvantage of requiring that computer to be on for the VPN to work on the Shield, but it will deliver the full performance you can get from PIA and you control it right from PIA's app like normal.

    I'll search out a different VPN Provider. Just trying to keep it simple.

    I just use the openVPN app on mine set up to use pia.

    I bought my Nvidia Shield in August 2017 and installed PIA (Android). It works fine. I have updated it twice since August and each new version has performed without problems.
