Using Local Connection

Am I giving up any protection by using a connection to servers near me?  I find that the closer I am geographically to ther servers, the faster the down and up loads run.

    In short no. All of our servers are secure and your proximity to the server should have no bearing on anything other than your speed. The closest servers are usually the fastest connection.
