is PIA down? been unavailable for hours

I contacted support, but now with the removal of live chat it might be days before they respond

    PIA support here may I ask what type of device yo are using to connect? I can answer in your ticket if you want to give me the ticket #.

    it's a mac with latest OS update, nothing special
    always worked
    ticket number 503317
    also, to note, it does connect to any and of the vpn locations successfully, however, no internet brewing or connection is active after that. I have to disconnect to be able to access the internet.

    Ah that's likely a DNS issue. Please try changing your DNS servers. After disconnecting the VPN, do the following:


    1. Click on the Apple logo in the upper left corner.
    2. Click on System Preferences
    3. Click on Network
    4. Click on your Internet Networking device (Wifi, Ethernet, etc.)
    5. Click on the Advanced button.
    6. Click on the DNS Tab.
    7. Replace the DNS servers listed with 209.222.18.222 and 209.222.18.218
    8. After making these changes please reboot the device to establish these changes.


    Following these steps, please clear your browser cache and cookies, close the browser, reconnect the VPN, then open a fresh browser.

    it appears that the latest MC OS update which has safari changes, must have changed the DNS
