"Windows Security Service is turned off, click here to turn on" message after installation

Hi, I just installed your software for the first time and after I installed it and rebooted, a short while after I connected to the VPN, I got an alert message on Windows 10 saying "Windows Security Service is turned off, click here to turn on." I have never seen this message before and so I was wondering if there is a reason for why it was turned off.

    Hi PIAJeffrey, thanks for your response. Now I am having problems with my internet connection running without the VPN even though I enabled the option to kill my connection if the VPN connection is lost. I wonder if this computer was infected with something before I bought it. The other thing to add is that I had never connected this computer to the internet until recently either so if there is some malware or something involved, that may have caused the Windows Security Service to turn off once it was on the internet ...
